Pullet or cockeral ?

I like to know so I can decide who is staying. I have some breeds/lines that I don't want to keep any cockerals from

. Also, I think some want to know if it is a cockeral because they can't have them and it stinks to have to get rid of something you have grown attached to. I have a black rumpless/slightly tufted araucana. I was planning on not keeing any cockerals because I have a lav project cockeral for the girls. He is the only bird that comes to see me EVERY time I open the brooder, such a character, so *he* will be staying regardless......

Reason I want to be sure is because I don't want my kids to get any more attached. We are not allowed to have Roo's in my area. I know kids are already attached but I had already told them if this isn't a pullet it has to go. I just want to early on kinda know so I can prepare. I hatched this baby and is only one I kept from that group. If you have kids you know how fast they get attached.

Oh, KIDS!!! why didn't you say so, LOL, in that case, too bad we couldn't know before the ever hit the incubator... Just tell them it's a roo now, and if it turns out to be a girl, they will be ecstatic! Okay, so you can have a clear consience, I'm calling roo! (You can tell them I said so. Since they are kids that still works.

. They are now not allowed to really play with them unfortunately, on a regular basis. I was hatching wayyy too many roos.....my 5yo was the worst. I let them handle them but not often enough to be able to tell specific ones from each other
