Is this Brahma a boy or girl? About 7 weeks old. Please tell me why you think one way or another. I want to learn how to figure this out on my own. Thanks!

i have 5 light brahmas. they r all hens. i am guessing yours is a boy. it doesnt look like mine did at that age. ive read somewhere that boys' tail feathers are later coming in and i dont remember any of my girls tail feathers being so absent. also, i am noticing the neck feathers (hackle feathers i think they are called) on your chick seem more pointed which indicates male. i certainly am not a pro at this...i obsess over gender all the time with my chicks!, but this is just my opinion with the pics you have provided and what i can recall on my girls. good luck for whichever you are hoping for! :)

The tail is what is worrying me. I want it to be a girl. She's my sweetest and I can't have roosters.
