Sorry, didnt clarify. I know the Silkie is a hen. The Polish is just over 2 months.

Not trying to bother anyone, just never got any replies. These are more recent pictures. Ive never owned a polish before, and I am stumped over this one. I think it is a hen, but it has so many saddle feathers coming in. She/He is the strangest chicken we have ever owned(and thats alot lol). It randomly freaks out and runs around and "tries" to fly.

Polish are a nutty breed, they are very flighty and prone to being hysterical, trimming the crest can help a bit. I would say it's a rooster by it's saddle feathers too, though I can't see a comb. I haven't owned the gold laced variety yet, but my buff laced hens don't have tail feathers like that. You may just have to wait and see if it crows.

The waiting is over. Ollie is a HEN! She layed her first egg today!
