Pullet or Cockerel?

He's an Easter Egger. Might even be a black sexlink Easter Egger. I've bred a few of them myself.

My boy Junior, as a 6 week old chick.

Now 1 year old, this month.

For comb comparison, there are two barred Easter Egger pullets in this photo, and it shows the combs of 3 Easter Egger cockerels. All 10 weeks old.

Not sure if you're pointing this out, asking, etc. But here's an answer if I can help :/
If the comb is a darker shade of red, and waddles are more evident, especially by the age of week 10, it's most likely a roo.

We had this problem with one of our RIR's, and in the end, he turned out as a he. (14 weeks now)

I made my statement on the coat color, but it does appear to be a cockerel as Junebugga said. Sometimes, they crow later than the others.

Well it is official, "Buddy" is a Cockerel. Funny thing he started crowing this morning. Thanks for the help!

Definitely in the "dinosaur" stage! Pictures of them standing on the ground might be a little more helpful at taking a guess.
