Is Nugget a boy or girl? I think it is a cuckoo maran about 14-16 weeks old.

Your Cuckoo Marans is a pretty little pullet. Marans are auto sexed. The boys are lighter than the girls. No guess work.

We both have cuckoo marans! Mine appear to be bigger than your cuckoo marans, whiche is weird because mine are only 9 - 10 weeks old.

Not trying to be rude, but cuckoo marans are supposed to have stripes, not dots. Are you sure that is a cuckoo marans? If so sorry, I'm not a chicken expert.

I have no idea. The guy I got her from said a cuckoo maran but he was wrong on the other chicken I got from him. I'm new to chickens so I know nothing about what the breeds are suppose to look like exactly. I wonder what else she could be?

Not a Marans. Marans have a single comb. That looks like an Easter Egger or Ameraucana/Marans cross. How certain are you of age?

He said it was a Splash Maran but it turned out to be Easter Egger or Ameracuana. I live in Colorado Springs. The guy is in Pueblo which is south of here.
