Pullet or cockerel?

I have two silkies that I got from my local tractor supply. The white one is 9 weeks old and it squats when I pick it up it looks more girly to me and the black one is 8 weeks and has a lot of comb. It also likes to chest bump and kick my little Cochin so I’m thinking it might be a little roo

Yay! I love the white one if it’s a female I will be so happy! Out of ALL the straight run chicks I’ve ever gotten I’ve had only ONE female. I have the worst luck with straight run.

Is it common for them to develop so slow? That black one is developing really slow. I hope he gets some fluff on him

Yes, they are slow developers which is why they can be hard to sex. They take a while to lay eggs too.
