This is one of my 12 week ISA brown crosses. It was sold to me as a pullet but this one has always had a considerably larger and redder comb, boldest of them and the largest. I can't help but think that it's a cockerel but all of the hackle and saddle feathers look the same as the other pullets to me. 🤷🏼‍♀️

ISA Browns are sex linked. Hens should have mostly red feathers while roosters should have mostly white. The crosses would not be sex linked.

When you say crosses - do you know what the seller meant? Crosses because ISA Browns are a cross? Or ISA Browns which have been crossed again?

ISAs that were crossed again. So I bought 10 pulleys off of the seller, 5 white and five red. I was told some are a combination of RIR roo x ISA brown pullet and the other half are ISA brown pullet x ISA brown roo. So I guess they are considered 2nd generation ISAs so they no longer are sexlinked... which is a shame because it really would take the guess work out lol
