Pullet or cockerel

So (just trying to understand this) sometimes even if the comb is pink and not red, it can be a male. So I need to learn more about the colorings…not just the combs and waddles…to be able to know which gender.
Yes, exactly.

Yes, sometimes cockerels will be slow development in the comb and waddles but male coloring will give them away.

This is looking like another male. The deeper red patches at the shoulders is a give away, and I believe I see the pointy male specific feathers coming in as well.

Often when you have multiple males in a flock, the less dominant males will have delayed maturation.
Ok. I understand. Thank you everyone. Big help. Going to make notes.

And does anyone know what this is? 9 weeks. I have never seen one like this before…(I am new at this) Guessing by photos online…Easter Egger/pullet??
