Pullet or roo?? Wing sexing?

About 8 weeks old, FBCM. No sign of waddles, comb has stayed roughly the same size as if he/she grew into it.

Also, is it true that you can sex any breed at a few weeks old by their wings? Someone told me a pullets' wing feathers will always be a smooth transition from short to long whereas a males' wing will have more of an "L" shape, a more jagged transition..

No, you cannot sex any breed by their wing feathers. You can only do that with hybrids that were bred by specifically crossing parents to obtain that trait, and it does not carry on to future generations.
