Hey Guys just picked this Bantam up from a friends thinking it was a roo... it doesnot crow and is the same age as its brother who did... unfortunately for him i put him down today is this a Pullet or a roo guys????It looks to be a sussex cross i think?? correct me if im wrong. but as it isnt crowing and all im guessing it could be a Pullet?

Cheers guys... well if it is a Roo i might give him/it a month or two to see what happens then maybe Cull him/It as well... unless it starts crowing then being in suburbia ill need to get rid of it...

Anyone want it??? its only young... doubt it could breed with my Australorps ans Sussex Crosses anyway.. prob couldnt reach.. seeing as its not a crower i thought of using it across the hens prob a waste of time

You need to ask LOCALLY whether anyone wants your cockerel. Check Craigslist for Melbourne?

Since you have an item of poultry rather than a large marsupial, I would advertise a "Free cockerel" or "Free young Rooster" .... rather than a "free Roo" :) :)

I doubt anyone reading this forum from the USA, Europe, Latin America, Asia or Africa needs a young rooster (shipped airmail?) from southeast of Melbourne. :) :)

Outside of Down Under, we're all tuckered out with our own little cockerels..... Yes we have bins full o' cockerels at our flea markets but we don't have Kangaroos at our flea markets..... ;-) ;-)

Hope I came off as funny. Not trying to be mean.

No matter. Welcome!! Just be aware that many of the other ppl here are geographically distant....our accent doesn't come across as strongly when we type.... :) :)
