pullet or roo

I agree. The feed store will buy him back, but i don't want such an uncertain fate for him. Hoping i can find him a flock of his own, though expect that to be a challenge. Ideally, would like to have something set up, but be able to enjoy him awhile longer.
 
Well, if there were any doubt (and I guess there hadn't been), Roxie started crowing this morning. Not quite 10 weeks old. It was raspy, weak, missing syllables, but unmistakable. And repeated. I had to throw some fruit out there to shut him up!! I've been running ads in town and had some initial interest, but that has waned and I've got no takers. I'm afraid it may end up being off with his head...gonna run some new ads today and see if I can drum up anybody else. :(

I sure thought I might have a little more time...darn early-maturing hatchery birds.
