Hi,
I noticed today, that one of my pullets had some unusual looking diarrhea (beige, like makeup foundation). She will be heading for a date with the vet if it's not cleared up by the end of the day tomorrow. However, I think I have a theory on what the problem might be. She is on grower feed, I fed her mealworms, and my Mom fed her salmon (She's the tamest chicken, so usually gets most of the treats). So, I'm thinking we gave her waay too much protein, causing her to produce a lot of urea. Does this sound accurate? If so, is there anything I can do to help her (Besides stopping the protein containing treats, which I will do). I would hate for her to get permanent kidney damage from our mistake, if that's what the problem is.
Thanks,
Susan
