Pullet question

See lmao silkie/polish same to me.

Suppose a toppy is different then a full crest :lau

Sorry!!
Polish don't have feathered legs and are smooth feathered. Silkies have black skin, 5 toes, and silkied feathers.
Not even close to being the same.

You have no idea of my dosing and for two you're wrong. But I'm not gonna argue, I have fabulous layers and have no troubles with what I'm doing.

Wazine has a withdrawal period of 14 days. If you eat the eggs before that period is up, the eggs will tainted with the dewormer. This is a fact.

And nobody is sick from eating the eggs, and I got quite the happy flock.

But I will keep noted.

..and that's just for meat birds, it hasn't been tested for egg withdrawal and thus is not approved for use in layers.

It's not about 'being sick from eating eggs'...problems can take years to manifest rather than instant GI distress.

Besides Wazine only kills round worms.....without fecal testing you don't even know if it's works and/or if you have Wazine resistant round worms and/or if you have other worms present.

Every 30 days in incredibly irresponsible, I hope you're only risking your family and not selling eggs to the public.

You're risking yourself.

ok I just looked back and the in question was actually born at the beginning of January, not November .....does that change anything or make my odds of getting an egg any better?

Also This little girl (I think a girl) below was born at the beginning of June! Does it seem like a girl to you guys!!! Thanks for all your help!

Beginning of January would make her almost 8 months old. I've not had any silkies in my flock, so can't speak about particulars of that breed, but such a bird would not be staying in my flock. If they don't produce, they leave my coop.

I was just googling when I could start looking for eggs from my EE mix pullet and one of the links said silkies are slow to start laying eggs, it could take up to a year

@Amychix you might want to start a new thread in the what gender forum,
with 'Silkie' in the title and pics of both birds, their ages, and would be good to get a close ups of combs.
Then you can be sure of gender at least.
Silkies are tough to sex but some folks have much experience with them.
