All six pullets have laid one egg each beginning on May 10th. (Mothers day) to date.
Now, Im getting 2 eggs a day. The shell is nice!
Is this daily amt of egg laying normal?
I offer access to free food and water.
I feed Purina Layer pellets, I offer 6 grain non gmo scratch and oyster shell.
I offer left overs every morning such as peas, grits, rice, fruits, veggies, finely crushed up egg shell, sprouts, bean sprouts, carrots, romain lettuce, apples, watermelon, honeydew, cantaloupe ect..Nothing we would not eat.
We always think about the birds before throwing things out.
So, How many eggs should I be expecting?
Thank you in advance.

All those 'treats' might be diluting the nutrition in the layer feed.
I'd cut back on all of them.
How long have you been feeding layer feed?

The "treats" are an example of things they might get. They don't get all of that stuff. I started once they hit around 16-18 weeks. I was given the pullets and transitioned them/mixed it in the remaider of the the start & grow pellets they did receive. I did not do a hard switch.
Yesterday, I did got three eggs.

Thank you!!! I've been asking questions, reading A LOT so I have healthy pullets and I think most importantly, I check them out everyday so I can hopefully find out stuff before it gets too bad.
Thanks again!
