I posted awhile ago about my one depressed hen and introducing her to our new pullet. Well they are now living happily together, no fighting, no depression etc....

(I know everyone says you shouldn't just have two chickens, don't worry we have some chicks, but they just are not ready and neither am I to be put with my big(ger) girls. )

Well the other night I went out to close up the coop and the hen was roosting like a normal hen, and the pullet was roosting on top of her- on her back. I have been checking every night since then and the pullet is on top of the hen. They both seem okay with it- but is this normal? Plus I can't imagine once the pullet is full grown if she could still do this (she is about 10/11 weeks old now).

Chicks do this to their moms all the time. So, I think this means that your hen has adopted your pullet. Or your pullet is lobbying to be adopted by your hen.

Either way, it's fine as long as they're both happy. Get a pic, just for fun!
