I have 17 week old pullets they are not roosting with my other hens. they just lay on the floor of the henhouse. how can i get them to get up with the other hens or should I just leave them alone?

Most of the younger ones start out in a pile on the floor, eventually they start trying to roost, just make sure there are enough of the high roosts, perhaps your hens aren't letting them up, each batch likes to be in their own place, not right next to the older ones.

I had the same problem with my hens. But eventually they started to use the roost when they were older.

Watch them at roosting time and I think you may find that the pullets are intimidated by the adult chickens. Try placing them on a perch far away from the adults. Watch what happens then. My money is on an adult "hall monitor" who makes life tough on youngsters.

You can try giving the bully hen a peck/jab on her back to discipline her, or you may need to add a new perch to your coop.

This. they're probably being blocked. At this age most birds are pretty eager to roost.
