The Millie/Jerry Saga continues. Why are these two BJG developing so differently?
I have been on here asking a few times as they have grown and always the consensus is both are pullets. I had put away my questions until this week.
The one that I have been questioning has so much more red and face development. Also, so much more color coming out in her feathers. At a glance anyone want to throw any input in? Here are some pics. You can tell which one I’m talking about. They are the same age. Are they just growing differently?

See how the one above is red and developed, and the one below is not at all red and not as grown?

How old are they?
They both appear to be pullets by . The one who is "redder" may just be close to laying?
I don't know much about the bjg, but my australorps do not have the same amount of green in their feathers.

They’re about 13 weeks. It’s so funny because they have consistently developed differently!
Thanks!
And thank you, @OkieChickenGal & @ECSandCCFS good to know! I think I secretly really want a JG roo.

They are both pullets.
I am speaking from experience.
I have 3 BJG pullets and I had one develop like your pullet with the less red and another that developed like your pullet with more red. To this day, they still remain different in that way.

Hope this helps.

Both appear to be pullets, I love my JGs~ They're such beautiful and docile birds, Great mothers too~ Did you get yours from a hatchery or from a breeder?

Thank you both so much! I do love them. They are so sweet and soft! Dare I say they are my favorite in the flock? It’s good to know someone else has seen exactly what I’m talking about! They both came from a local feed store.
