Hi @smudge I just looked up your thread to share w someone whose chick swallowed yarn today. https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/help-6wk-rir-pullet-ate-yarn.1306262/
How's Annabell doing?

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply...

Annabell seems to be doing fine, although she's a bit of a loner. I've been pairing her up with my 6 year old Buff Orpington, Lucy, who's been a bit out of sorts since her best friend died on Easter. (from https://www.backyardchickens.com/th...dubbed-by-herself-cant-stop-bleeding.1187104/ ). She's been laying eggs very regularly, so can't knock that.

The paracord never came out...

How did this turn out for you?
My 7 wk old chicks may have eaten a 1 to 2 foot piece of paracord. Their waterer was hanging by it. To day I found the waterer on the ground and no cord in the brooder. No idea wick of the 10 may have eaten it.

The paracord was never seen again, and the chick grew up into a hen that laid eggs and appeared healthy.

(That's a summary of the updates in the last few pages of the thread.)
