Hi I have a pullet (Around 20 wks) with a skin problem. She had lots of yellow crusty skin peeling off or which she scratched off. The skin is still puffy, broken where she scratches and it causes her eyes to seal shut over night. She has had a round of antibiotics so far. Any ideas of what this could be would be appreciated as the vet just gave a broad spectrum antibio.

Hard to know what this is from, but scratching it shows it itches. If you have some antibiotic ointment such as Terramycin or Neosporin, I would apply a small dab to the eye twice a day. It won’t harm to use antifungal cream (miconazole, clotrimazole) to the face in case of favus. Let us know how she gets along.

Thank you all! It seems to be clearing up well now, I don't think it was mites as she's the only affected hen and they don't have a wooden coop or anywhere that could get infested, her sores have dried up so here's hoping that's an end to it.
