1) What type of bird , age and weight.
Aracauna, almost two month old.
2) What is the behavior, exactly.
Her wings, unlike my other five girls, seem to droop. While she runs, they kind of bob limply beside her. They don;t touch the ground all the way, but she doesn't hold them up and folded all the way either. The fluffy feathers that are on her back and usually hidden by the wings in exposed.
3) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.
No, I don't think her wings are broken, as they don't seem to cause her any discomfort when I examine them.
4) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.
Nothing! the rest of my girls are fine!
5) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.
Chicken scratch, and the occasional tomato. NOT FROM THE STORE! I'm aware of the whole salmonella outbreak. Our tomatoes are home grown without pesticides, so I don't think that's it.
6) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.
It's sort of runny, but no blood or anything.
7) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?
---
8 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet?
---
9) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.
I will try to get pictures!
10) Describe the housing/bedding in use.
they are just in a large coop in the back yard. The bottom of the pen is lined with wood shavings and mulch.
