I noticed yesterday that 2 of my flock were gasping for air. No nasal or eye discharge. Here in Maryland we have had very hot humid weather and a lot of daily rain - perfect conditions for a fungal problem. These 2 chickens tend to hang out a lot under the coop to escape some pecking by the rest of the flock, which I believe is where they were exposed to the mold.
I quarantined the 2 affected pullets. Unfortunately, one passed this morning. The other sick chick is my favorite black cochin.
I ordered some Oxine to be overnighted to me, which hopefully will arrive tomorrow. Can I do anything in the meantime?? I have already added ACV to the drinking water.
Any suggestions would be greaty appreciated!!! I'm still a relative newbie!
