pullet won't open eyes

Today I got up and checked on the girls and Rosie again has her eyes closed, she's walking around and acting normal but she won't open those eyes again.

I have spoon fed her and given her water with electrolytes and vitamins, she eats really good.

I think the eyes seem sealed shut like she might have pink eye or something (I don't know if birds get pink eye), but I don't see any crusty discharge around her eyes. I'm going to get a wet cotton ball and see if I can help her get them open.

So now my question.....I've given her electrolytes, and vitamins, if she has an eye infection does she need medicine and what am I looking for to see if she really has an eye infection? If she needs meds where do I go to get them and what kind?

any information to help would be wonderful!!!!!

Thanks

Sorry I wasn't on earlier. You can use warm compresses to unseal her eyes. you need Terramycin eye ointment. Your feed store or vet should carry this. Apply to each eye according to directions. Bless her heart. She is lucky to have you! let me know how she does.
