I was switching to grower feed for my 8 week old pullets, bought feed and looked at the bag and its for meat birds. I asked and that is all they sell. She assured me my pullets will be fine. It's a 19% top feed shelf. I got home and called the company, they told me there is an option for a pullet grower and called the store and was surprised that's the only option they are giving to the customers. I could hear his concern, however, nothing more he could say. I have read it can cause them to grow faster and cause egg problems, like egg binding, prolapse, small eggs, etc.
I'm not sure what to do, I have been giving greens every day to reduce the protein amount, I feel I need to give them a lot of greens to do this.
