Pullets are 28 weeks and still not laying!!

I have one 28-week-old hyline brown (or red shaver), one 28-week-old wyandotte and a leghorn-rhode island red cross who is a a bit younger. All girls, no eggs. They're well fed, free-ranging and extremely spoilt chickens so I just don't understand it! It is coming into winter in the southern hemisphere but it isn't THAT cold, and we still have a lot of sunshine. What's going on? Help!

How old are they in months? My brain just died on me.

More than six months. They get layer ration and occasionally wheat if they behave

And tomatoes from the veggie garden sometimes, and a few scraps!

Hmm. I'm not sure, then. Just wait a while longer, I guess.

Since they're free range, are you certain they aren't hiding eggs around somewhere else? I'm a newbie but I've seen that question asked enough that that would be my first thought. Check around the yard in any areas that would make a nice nest and see if they're hiding them on you. Otherwise, I don't have a clue! Hope you can figure it out soon and get some eggs. That would be frustrating!

Can't say much about your other breeds, but wyandottes are known to be slow to mature to the egg laying stage, I have read as much as 30 weeks old before the first egg with the wyandottes is not uncommon. There is an offical wyandotte thread on the forum here (check under breeds and genetics), you could check there and maybe them some questions about your wyandotte.
