Pullets laid their first eggs!

I'm so excited!!!! We got TWO eggs today - little pullet eggs!

A few days ago, I thought for sure I was going to lose my whole flock to a respiratory disease - but whatever it was is gone just as quickly as it showed up. I was in the henhouse tonight listening for coughing, sneezing or gurgling - and there was nary a sound. Just a few soft clucks and then the big rooster got a little pissy. He didn't like the flashlight shining in his eyes.

so glad to hear they are doing better. That's got to be a relief! Seems like with chickens, you invest so much time and care.. then to lose them must be devestating! Yippee girls!!
