I have not had chickens for over 20 years but I had a chance to buy some started pullets for a very reasonable price this summer to I grabbed a dozen. The first egg came about 3 weeks ago, I got a egg a day for a couple days then none for a couple. Now sometimes I get 1,2, or 3 and sometimes none. I don't recall it taking so long for them to get going years ago but then there are a lot of thing I don't recall.
The birds are NH Reds and Comets 6 of each just wondering if this is a normal pattern for young birds?
