pullets only eat seeds. help me plz

    hi every one, i've 3 laying hens and 1 rooster, they all are on pellet diet and sometimes i give them mix seeds as treat. now i bought a pullet ASIL , she eats nothing now today i gave her mix seed then she only eats wheat grain and she loves to eat only wheat grain. and she eats nothing except wheat grain and my other laying hens also wants only wheat grain and they slowly/gradually reduce interest in pellets and only wants wheat grain. now what i do? plz help is only wheat grain diet ok for them? plz help thx

    Give her what she should be eating and when she's hungry, she'll eat it. That may sound harsh or mean but it's not. It's like a kid: You give them only what they want and they'll have ice cream and lollipops for dinner. Often when they get only one diet they'll resist eating something else, and when given treats often they'll start wanting only the "treat" things. Gotta make them eat the chicken food.

    I agree with Galanie- just feed the regular chicken feed for awhile. The wheat isn't good for them as a sole ration. Then later you can put some out for them after they are used to the pellets.

    Alternatively, you can put out the treats/feed and then not give more until the feed is cleaned up.
