Totally agree with the easter egger vs ameraucana... These are lovely EE. You will almost never find ameraucana at a feed store... take note of the spelling, as often feed stores and hatcheries will sell them as 'amerIcana' which is code for ee. When going on a hatchery site, pay attention to what they say the birds lay. If they say that these are ameraucana (correct spelling) but will lay brown or green or blue (basically anything except strictly blue) then they're easter eggers.

Yes, they were spelled with an 'i' so I misspelled the breed in the title too... I'm okay with EE (never had them before so totally interesting!).
