Pullets or..? Help, I know nothing about Wyandottes

the double lacing/penciling in the feather can go away as they molt over time. they have mini molts around 3 and 6 mos and a full molt around 12-16mos. I agree the GLW looks male, the SLW looks female. sorry!
Is it just the wattles?

Anyone else care to venture a guess or care to second the others' verdict of Rooster?

7 weeks is too young to have the wing patch, or any of their shiny feathers (hackle, saddle) yet. although they are not shiny, the feathers near the tail are draping over nicely. you can also divide the feathers around the back, pretend there is a 2" stripe down it's back, on either side of the stripe is where the pointy, shiny, triangle-tipped feathers will start to grow in, all down the back. that is a for sure male indicator. they should start coming in around 8-10 weeks and be very obviously long by 12-14wks.

I voted male because of the large pink comb and wattles for the age.

Silver laced is certainly a pullet. As for the golden, we have a silver thats a few months old and she has a large..ish... comb. We bought six pullets before, and two looked like the golden. We unfortunately sold 5 while they were still young.

Hold the phone! I just saw the pic of her back, the golden is certainly a pullet, you have two pullets! See how she has a saddle cushion with rounded feathers?
(Not certain, but it looks like it. Some hens just get a comb faster and larger than the others.)

Also, the silver lacing on the SLW is not very good, insted of b lack laced by white, the feathers should be full white with black laces.

I'm not sure any of their birds had the correct lacing, they are hatchery quality. I didn't mind because these were just supposed to be our pretty egg layers that weren't expensive and we didn't want to deal with chicks (I pick up my Americauna chicks this weekend and have Turkeys set to hatch next week so no more babies!!). The Orpingtons in GL and SL are EXPENSIVE!!! I think they are both still pretty, the GLW I got also has penciling within the gold which isn't desirable at all for a breeder but I like the way it looks. We shall see what they look like after they molt and as they grow. I hope you and @Percheron chick are right that its a pullet, I will be super bummed if it isn't, that was one reason I bought the older birds. I was looking at the SLW & GLW today and to me their combs look the same. Time will tell; thanks for the input!!

Im nearly certain it
