Pullets or Roosters

This is my first post.I have six Black Copper Maran chicks. Is it to early to tell the difference,pullets or roosters.They are 5 weeks old and some are showing what looks like a comb.

Markk I am really new at this too but it would probably help a lot if you posted a few pictures of your chicks. You will probably get a lot of responses.

I hace BCM too. You should be able to tell by now. The cockerels should have the copper coloring already coming in on their wings and backs. The females will be all black at that age. Hope this helps you.

I see pullets you will notice more development in the comb and waddles faster in males often times you can color sex them the roo's will be a lighter color then the pullets. here is a link that might help http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/CGK/Marans/BRKMarans.html
