Pullets v. Roos.......

I find it kind of funny how things work out sometimes. Most of us here would prefer to hatch mostly pullets and seem to get too many roosters. I remember as a kid, my dad and older brother raised Thai and Malay fowls. The roosters were always the prize and they wanted mostly roosters. However, it was always the opposite and they got mostly pullets in each batch.

I think my coworkers husband is full of poo too. I really can't see how temp can affect the outcome of hatching pullets or Roos. I have been told by others who know these people that they do somehow have a greater number of pullets hatch than Roos. Maybe it's in the water or they're just lucky. I agree and believe if it was true that the temp control could control the sex of the chicks then the hatcheries wouldn't use Roos as packing peanuts. I have been considering hatching some eggs but don't want to have to get rid of the Roos but I can't keep them either.

I was hoping for at least 50/50 but Thats "counting them before they hatch"--ahhh too bad too they are supposed to be pure mixes-EE's Wellsummers-etc.. I just can't keep them!
