Pullets won't sleep in coop :-(

Your young chickens are learning that if they throw a big enough fit, you’ll let them have their way. They are training you well... ;)
I’d let them go to sleep in their preferred spot, then scoop them up and set them on a roost in the coop. Close & lock the door. They should settle right back down to sleep. The less light you expose them to, the better. If necessary, put a towel over their heads to “keep them in the dark”.
In the morning, let them out with the rest of the flock. You may have to repeat the exercise a few times, but it shouldn’t take too long before they catch on.
Good luck.

We had a similar situation with chickens that were not full grown, and they had their own little clique. What we did was put a plastic storage bin with an opening we carved out with a razor blade right next to the older chickens. That way they were able to have their own space, safe from the bigger chickens and after a few weeks the younger ones were comfortable enough to sleep with the others. :)
Thanks so much! This is a great idea :)

haha, yeah we're big pushovers with them. As my husband said tonight, "we're doomed when we have human babies." ;-) This will be good "tough love" practice. Thank you!!
