Pullorem question

I have a question. If I do not have a rooster and my hen that tested positive never has chicks do I need to put her down??? If it only affects chicks then that seems to be a no brainer.

Maybe I am looking at it wrong but it sure does make sense to me.

This disease does not just affect chicks, but other birds as well.

I can't believe keeping her is an option. In NY it wouldn't be & I assumed that was true eveywhere since the NPIP is a federal program.
