Hi....wow my hens love pumpkins. I have 27 hen: Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rocks, Buff Rocks, White Rocks, Buff Orps, Silkies, Brown Leghorns, white Leghorns and Olive Easter Egger, Ameraucana. They are so funny. They went crazy over the pumpkins. I cut them up and watched the mayhem. Think about giving them to your flock.

I bought a pumpkin for ours and they loved the seeds but that was it, they wouldn't even try the flesh. I was rather disappointed they didn't seem to enjoy it.

Our girls will eat any squash we give them, including pumpkin. By the time they are done with it, nothing remains but a very hollowed out skin.
