Punk Rock Chicks

Do chicks like music? mine do. lol a few of them like punk rock, emo, screamo, rock, ect kinda music lol its cute. they'll get real quite and some of them will sit and listen to the music. HAHA not sure why but they seem to enjoy Beating Hearts Baby by Head Automatica lol

I heard music is supposed to make hens lay more eggs but Im not sure if its true.

I play music for my eggs in the bator...My hens in the coop and my broodies and my babies in the brooder. I listen to alot of music and my kids love listening to music its very calming. On sick days when I don't feel like playing music mine seem upset sosick or not I make it a habit to turn on the radio for them.

Our chickens stopped laying for a few weeks and we could not figure out what the problem was. One day I was outside feeding and one of the roosters started a ruckus. Then they all started. It went on for quite a while so I started looking for something that was threatening them. Couldnt fnd anything but being out there so long I noticed how quiet it was. My son has his workshop out by the coops. He always has a radio going loudly while he is out there. For Christmas I got him an MP3 player and so he uses that. The chickens were complaining. He put the radio back on and the next day they were laying again. Now in the mornign when I go out I have to turn the radio on if I forget the Australope rooster starts a ruckus. They like punk rock as well. lol

Mine seem to like it when I sing to them. They all get quiet and watch me. Either they like it or they are trying to figure out what the heck that awful noise is!

it is a scientific fact that chickens react to television and music. fun stuff!
