We reciently got two 8month old australian shepard/lab mix puppies. One of them just seems to uncontrolable pee on himself. the dog and my DH were sitting on the couch today and he just let go, not even realizing what he was doing. he does it in his sleep and pee's A LOT!! I have had many puppies b4 and none of them have done this. they would at least squwat or hike a leg. Is this normal for puppies??? I am getting so tired of cleaning up pee!!

Nope, not normal. I agree with Imp, you need to get the pup to the vet ASAP. Could be something minor or something seriously wrong. Good Luck.

We have a Bernese Mountain dog who came to us with an antibiotic resistant infection. It took a couple rounds of increasingly powerful antibiotics to finally clear it up. Unfortunately, we spent a fortune in the meantime to make sure he didn't have any blockages in his plumbing. It kind of ruined the "puppyhood" experience having him pee everywhere in the house, all the time, even when we were taking him out every half-hour. Get your pup to a vet. Hopefully, it's something as simple as that.

Good luck.

My Aussie does the exact same thing. We took her to the vet and the sphincter that keeps her bladder closed until she is ready to pee does not work correctly. It started when she was about 6 mos. old and she is now 7 years old and is still on "Proin" to help her control her sphincter. It works and its a chewable tablet we just put it in her food and she's good as new.

OK pup appt is in order for tomorrow. Thank you all sooo much for the info. I feel better knowing its not a noramal puppie thing, but i hope it is nothing to bad. First something got the chickens, now the dogs and my Dh brought home a new, cute, but still litter box training kittens. And of course the kids love him, till he poops...
