I put these girls in separate posts because they look so different from each other (other then color), this one is my 'special' puppy. So what breed/breeds do you see?

Nose to nose w/ Hannah (I like this one),

This one shows her odd ball tail, don't know if it's genetic or a birth defect,

By odd ball tail, you mean the tail being short or was it docked?

Who was the mother of the pups? What do you know of them?

Hehe Red... I keep wanting to say JRT all the time

Due to the wide chests and refined legs, the little & slightly pricked ears, the short muzzles, I go with chiuaua for one parent, if not both.

Wait... I just did a google image search and those puppies totally have chiuaua in them! I see a lot of tails the length of the short one (though I don't know if docking comes into it). I also see long haired chiuauas.

I guess Chiuaua mixed with JRT or Rat terrier. The Jack/Chi mix is done fairly frequently. As Red said...... May God bless you with strong earplugs!

Looks kind of like a Jack Russell except that I saw the pic of the other one who is the litter mate to this one and it does not look JRT. At this age, it's really impossible to tell. The other one looks like a young great pyranees pup to me and I know that's not right! So come back with new pics in a year and we can make a pretty good guess. Right now....it could be pit bull, chihuahua, jack russell, rat terrier, beagle, or any combination of these. Plus 3 dozen more added in for good measure.

But if mom was a floozy, she could have bred to two different males!

Thats only for cats. Cats drop the eggs when bred, dogs go into heat. Dogs and cats have totally different reproductive systems.

Are they the same litter though??

Nope, dogs can have multi sired litters too. Dogs ovulate and any males that breed them in the window of time that they are fertile have a shot at making pups. Some breeders are doing multi sired litters on purpose if you have a grump that you will only be able to breed once but you want to have two different pairings. Then you DNA test the pups to determine who is the father of each pup.

They definately look like they have some chi in them (judging from experience). Their ears and eyes make me think chi. They also look like they have some sort of terrier in them, too. So I'm agreeing with Squishy on this one. But they are very young so who knows. You could end up with St. Bernards for all I know LoL
Either way, invest in ear plugs just in case they do have chi in em

That darn Napolean complex will be the death of us!
