Charge $6 extra first time to cover cost and have them bring back to re-fill If they do not bring back then sell them another for $6..... I think it would set you apart.

I bought a gazillion of them from Farmtek.com. I think it was 250 for 61$. I have more than I know what to do with but they will last me forever and I can tell folks I give eggs to not to bother bringing them back.

Still I have well meaning folks drop me off 60-100 egg cartons every now and again. Guess you could say I'm egg carton rich!

I haven't gotten rid of any of them. Also off subject but usually my hens lay at least 4-6 eggs by 11AM and we just gave our rooster away Sunday, which had no effect on their lAying yesterday, but today they are pecking at each other and I got one egg this morning??? Perplexed. I just want them happy and acting normal.

Agree with Kiki on this. Every time you remove a chicken, and then put it back, they'll be pecking. Every time there's a change in the headcount, there is a change in the flock dynamic.
