what do the barred rock X Dominique look like?

They look very much like a barred rock excepth the barring isnt as crisp and distinct and you sometimes get the Dominique comb instead of the Barred Rock comb. They are just a very hardy, good laying bird that is large enough for meat if you wanted to use them for that too.
