This is pretty much Nigel on a good day, what do you mean about the color? Too orange? He "looks" all Brahma to me but if its possible he could be mixed with Cochin, it would be hard to say for 100% certain. Due to the fact that a Brahma/Cochin cross would still be pea combed, feather legged, and yellow legged. And depending on the parent stock the body shape would look somewhat the same. He seems to have more of the typical Brahma shape to me. But his color is a little off for a buff, so he may be a mixed color Brahma. And he may just as likely be a Brahma/Cochin cross. Not entirely helpful I understand but these are the facts.

He's a very handsome rooster but I don't think he is pure, either. As Gray Farms said, the color is a bit off, too light on the breast and lower body, too uneven above. Buff Brahma males should also have a black stripe running down the center of the saddle feathers. His comb isn't right, either-- it looks like he has genes for both pea comb and single comb. So he may well be a Cochin/Brahma mix.View attachment 1279491 This was taken this morning. Please excuse the mud. It's the ugliest time of year here.View attachment 1279491
