So I’m going to get my flock of chickens real soon, most of them will be 3 month old silver laced Wyandotte’s. A few of them will be Americaunas, at least that’s what I believe them to be. Heres a picture of one of them, what do y’all think?

It's rather hard to see the chicken in that photo but here's the breed standard for Americaunas.

- Pea Comb (red) - (appears to have a small comb but it looks strange in this picture?)
- May have small wattles or none at all (can't tell)
- Reddish bay colored eyes (can't see)
- Both a beard and muffs - I can definitely see the beard on her, but need a better picture for muffs.
- upright tail, 45 degree angle to body (need a better picture)
- legs and feet should be slate blue or black, the color of them is dependent on the plumage of the bird. (they appear dark but a closer picture would be better)
- four toes, no feathers on feet or legs
- bottom of the bird's foot should be white, as well as her skin (something you'll need to look for)

A better picture would definitely be helpful, but you could also use this list to determine the others as well! There are only 8 recognized colors for the breed as well.

Yeah, the picture stinks. Lol By the time I thought about my camera, she had already moved back there, and the rooster staring me down encouraged me to not move closer. Once I get the chickens I’ll upload better pictures. The person I’m buying them from said he bought her as a pure breed from a site I believe to be reliable. But we will see I guess, thanks for the response.
