Pure Java Greens in the US

Since I have found out that my Burmese Green peafowl are not 100% pure, I would eventually like to purchase pure green peafowl from imported lines. Could you please tell me which breeders in the United States have pure greens that are imported or descendants of imported birds?
Your help is greatly appreciated.

Oh yeah, if you happen to have pure greens then please post pictures of them too.

This is a very very nice peafowl facility .Mr. Reinhold strives for the very best in his greens and I would like to have some of them.. What does it take to import these into the USA ?

I don’t have some yet. As you can see, the birds I have imported in 2011 from Thailand. If everything runs well, I will have the first offsprings next year. I have actually several blood lines and I will get probably some more in near future.
As you could see, a stud-book is started which is already an official register of the ECBG (European Conservation Breeding Group).
It would be a great challenge to have also US breeders which join to the stud book program. But to build up good international breeding stocks it will take some years.

If you have a little bit patience it will be possible for me maybe next or the year after next year to send you some birds.

I can supply you all the documents which you will need for the import to US (CITES and health certificate). But regarding the veterinarian stipulation in US you have to check exactly what you will need for the health certificate etc.

The shipping costs will not be that high if I will make a DNA sexing with the chicks then it would be possible to send them when they are 4 to 6 month old which reduces the size of the boxes.

When you tell me the exact needs for the health certificate then I can organize everything until to the arrival to US. But from there you have to check the details with your public authorities.

Yeah Connerhills that would be great if you could get some from Mr. Reinhold. I love his birds they are so beautiful and the stud book idea is great. We really need stud books for green peafowl in the US just to help those that want pure greens to get them and not get stuck always getting spaldings on accident.

Mr. Reinhold, I looked at your website and your facilities and birds are extremely beautiful!
I also think the stud book is a great idea. But if you were to import some imperators to the US then how much do you think it would cost?
It is my goal to one day import pure greens, but I could also buy some from someone else that would import birds from you.

Connerhills, I think it would be very beneficial if you could import some pure imperators from Germany.

Thanks for the link MinxFox, but I did notice that there was a post that said Norm Johnson has good stock but I purchased my javas from him which are not pure...

The Javas have finally been moved into their winter facilities.
Other than that they seem to be doing fine!

as I wrote already, the transport is not the problem. If I will make DNA sexing, then it would be possible to send the birds already with 4 to 6 months. Based on my experiences with other shipments the airfreight plus all other extra costs for health certificate will be for four birds approx. $ 2500 to 3000 (Price for birds not included). For this money you will have them at the airport in US, but then you have to check what is needed for quarantine. Maybe George has already more information about it.
