I'm thinking she's not that either.. It looks a bit too dark.
Do you know the difference between blue and self blue? (if there is one).. I saw a picture of the self blue and it looks a bit lighter.. More like her.. But that still doesn't explain all the brown.

self blue is really light. no brown. i think urs may be a mix of colors form the parents background if it is pure silkie

Out of the last three silkie eggs, only one chick hatched.. The others weren't alive.. When this one fluffs out, I will post pictures so we can see what this one's sister (I'm hoping..) looks like.. As of this moment, she doesn't look like she will be pure white, but it may just be all the ick and the lighting.

Looks like a blue or porclain silkie to me

Looks pure bred too. What about her feet? Feathers on feet or not?

When she started feathering the feathers looked white, but after a couple of days they started to look yellowish. At first I thought it was the lighting, but my mother pointed out that the paper towels still looked white under the light. I put her in front of the window so I could see her in natural light, and they still looked yellow. She's the same color as the shavings.

I have a silkie/ameruacana cross that looked just like yours as a chick kinda a dirty dishwater blonde color but as she's gotten older she's turning white she's 4 weeks old now, her mom is a white silkie and her dad is a splash ameruacana
