Purina Chick Crumble Too Big!

I have 10 buff orpington chicks they are going to be 2 weeks old tomorrow . But since day 1 I have been mashing up their feed, because I don't know if they can't , or just don't want to eat the bigger crumbles. But today I just gave it to them without mashing it, and I don't know if their eating it I just see a lot of it on the brooder floor. I just hope they won't starve it's chick crumble I'm sure they can eat some of the pieces, it's not like I'm feeding pellets. Advice Please!!!!!

My chicks, including many tiny bantams, eat Purina Flock Raiser crumbles just fine. Your chicks are huge by comparison, and won't have a problem. Mashing crumbles? Really??? That's amazing! There's no time for that here... Mary

They won't starve, they peck the larger crumbles into mash.

I use fermented feed even for babies.
Don't let it stay too moist, the babies can get stuck and have a tar pit type death.
