Hi! I’ve been a crazy chicken lady for many years. I grew up with chickens and when I finally had enough land and no restrictions I inheriated some of my own. It quickly grew into an obsession. To make a long story short I ended up getting a great deal on 3 Ayam Cemanies, two hens and my first ever Roo. After about 6 months I decided to try my hand at incubating. Our desire is to as self sustaining as possible and learning the “way of chicken” certainly helps.
My first batch In the incubator was full of all pure breeds with the Cemani Roos. I had Faverolles, barred rock, welsummers, and barnvelders. Fast forward to my babies at 10 weeks old and look at the color I’ve got! This is a Faverolles mix and a few others have hints of purple I. Their sheen as week. Just thought I’d share my beautiful babies!
