Purple Eggs?

I don't know if this is in the right spot. Please move it if it's not.

I heard that there have been chickens that laid purple eggs, but that was never actually verified. I was wondering, is it possible for a chicken to lay a purple egg? And how would that color come about? A blue egg layer with a pink egg layer?

Just out of curiosity, how would that work? What breeds would you have to put together to get purple eggs?
none. You just need to get your hands on a hen that lays purple eggs and breed her siblings or Sons back to her in hopes of getting more hens like her. there are not combination that you just can cross to make them, they are all brown eggers.
