This is the 2nd time my roosters comb has been purple towards the back. It takes few days for it to go away and now it’s back. My thought was his head may have gotten stuck in the feeders I have the no waste ones you put in the 5 gallon bucket. I haven’t seen him use the feeder recently , he just pecks at the ground around it, getting the little bit of feed that’s on the ground. I’ve been putting a bowl of feed out since I’ve noticed this. Also he hasn’t been through a winter yet, so it isn’t frostbite.

Do you guys this this is an accurate assumption? Is it somthing to do with sexual maturity? Something else going on? What are the thoughts?

That's common for large combs. I won't suspect a health problem unless more then just the back, & a few tips being purple.

Circulation issue. You'll see this in rooster with large combs. Sometimes in extreme heat you'll see this as blood is being sent elsewhere to keep the body cool. You will also see this in older roosters with cardiac issues. If this handsome guy is acting normally, he should be okay.
