purplish comb and lethargy in a 10 month old hen

Hi,
Your missing eggs could be due to mice or rats.

I would isolate your hen and try feeding her fresh corn and scrambled eggs to increase her weight. Put some vitamins and electrolytes in her water (use a solution meant for birds or poultry). Keep her in a quiet place so she can rest. If you have not wormed, you should do so.

Glad she is feeling better!

If rats or mice took the eggs wouldn't there be broken shell and mess around? There has been skunk around a couple of times but I assumed a skunk would break the eggs too.

I've been giving the sick hen scrambled egg and she is looking better everyday although her appetite is still a little light. I'll add the electrolytes. Thanks
