One of my hens has been shaking her head a lot. I check her eats today and found a bit of pus in one ear.
She is otherwise acting normal, active, not off balance, eating, drinking and laying eggs.
How do I go about helping it to clear up?

Do you see any bubbles in either eye or swelling around her eyes or her face? I would use a couple of drops of hydrogen peroxide into the ear canal, massage, and clean it out with QTips. Then apply a little plain Neosporin or generic ointment into the canal, daily.

Thank you for your reply. That is good to know.
After I watched a YouTube about pus in a chicken’s ear, I looked again, and realized I had been in panic mode, and the hen does not have any pus in her ear. The inside of both ears look white, but the ear holes are straight and open.
I don’t know why she is shaking her head, but her ears seem fine. She doesn’t do it constantly, but fairly often.
