Puting Eggs in Today!!!We are in Lockdown!

This is my second run and i have been selling the chicks!! I am calibrating my hygrometer and man is it off!!! Last hatch i got 20 out of 21! But i hope i do better this time! Any body seting to day?!

Hi, I set my second ever hatch at 10a.m today. Ive only used eggs from my hybrids which run with a white orp. I don't know if the eggs are even fertile but I thought that I'd give 8 a go.

He's only 7 months old and came from my first ever hatch, as he was a roo nobody wanted him, so I thought that I'd give him a few months before he goes to the pot!

What are you hatching and how many have you put in?

My kids love the whole process, I must be mad Ive already got four kids a puppy arriving in 3 weeks and a human baby on the way, Ive always loved a challenge!!!!!

I like having hatching buddies, its so much more eggciting

I am having probs with geting my temp just right!

it was fine befor i put water in! Then it was to low and now its to high!!!!

I have not put them in yet.

got the temp stable and got hum up to 51%!!!! YEAH!!!!!!! I just put them in!!!

What type of bator are you using?

Ive bought a cuvotto 24 auto turn. I have added an extra hydrogometer (sp)??

I got it because the local farmer uses a larger version. He has a 90% success rate my first hatch was not so good 4 of six orps hatched and they had gone through Royal Mail which is shocking but none of the 7 eggs that I was given by a little lady down the road hatched, I took a peek at the only one had started to do something the others had done nothing.

I only need a 50% hatch rate but I want 100%.

Im glad you've got your temp right, I cant wait to candle next week.

Todya is day 2 and last night the temp dropd. I just wokup so i just fixed it. Is it ok if the temp runs a lil low the first day? THANKS!!!!

Hi chicken girl, are you going to candle tomorrow? Hows your temp holding up now?

My hum is ranging from 45-50% and temps 99.32f-99.68f. Im hoping thats alright.

lol yes i am going to candle tomorrow. My tems have been a lil low but thats ok its at 99 now though. And i have candle like 2 white eggs and they have babies in them!
